Give us a call at 303-254-6310 when you’re ready to get started.  Usually we can be out to meet with you right away.  We'll start by taking 5 to10 minutes to ask a few questions about what you want done to your home.  From there we'll need another 15 minutes to measure up, and another 15 minutes to write up a proposal.

Actually, we print out a proposal - right on the spot.  With a complete take-off of the home entered into the computer, we can provide each homeowner with whatever option you might request.  You'll have a professionally prepared proposal tailored to your request, with whatever options you would like to see, and a cost breakdown for each.

Usually within 45 minutes we can have your completed proposal in your hand.  But before we go, we'll taken 10 or 15 minutes to allow you to look it over and get all your questions answered.

This is a great way to get a proposal to paint your house!  In fact, it's the only process you should consider.  Hands on.  In person. Get a look at who you are doing business with.  Prepared on the spot.  Tailored specifically to your request and for your home. Get your all your questions answered. And get it all in 1 hour.

Don't expect a call from us. We're not going to call you... and bug you... and get pushy like some guys out there. So you will need to call us.  And call us as soon as you've made the decision to have us paint your home.

Call us right away and get placed on our schedule.  The work load can change rapidly during the busy season.  If you have an urgent need, be sure to let us know. 

Then get going on all those administrative things that need to happen. First, You will need to sign one of the copies of the agreement and mail it to us. (Keep one copy for yourself.)  We need your written authorization before we can start any work.  So get that signed agreement off to us right away.

Next, plan the Start Day. Mondays work out best for interior paint jobs.  Starting on Mondays gives you the prior weekend to get ready, and probably a better plan than expending the time during your work week.

If you haven't done so already, start looking at colors.  The sooner the better. Colors are usually the hardest and slowest part of all. Sometimes they fall right into place; sometimes they don't. We've seen some people take weeks.  In fact, the longest time span ever taken by a customer to finally decide on her colors was 18 months!

Choosing colors for most people it isn't so bad; but don't take it lightly either. We highly recommend test patching your chosen paint colors prior to calling them into us.  There's nothing like seeing them up on the wall to help sort out choices. The paint up on the wall may look a bit different than the color on the sample chip.

Once we have your paperwork and your colors - we're ready!  So the next step is to prepare for our arrival!  Getting the interior of your house painted is a lot like moving.  You have to pack some things in boxes and clear a few things out of the way!

Take a look at some of the most common considerations.

Some Do's and Don'ts.

  • DO - Remove all decorative items from the walls, taking down curtains, pictures, and knick-knacks.
  • DO - Take everything off the counters and table tops, and take plants out of the area.
  • DO - Remove all valuables, and any fragile or breakable items out of cabinets to be moved.
  • DON'T - close any painted door before the paint has a chance to fully dry.  It will stick quite well to the insulation strip inside the frame.
  • DON'T - forget to open any wood windows within 4 to 6 hours after we have painted them.  If left closed, windows can become stuck to the frame, and be very difficult to get open later.
  • DON'T - worry about the big stuff like furniture; we'll move them as necessary.
  • DONT - Leave pets in the house!  Children - they got to go as well.

Also very important: you need to have all your preparations done and ready before our crew arrives to start work.

Our "Touch Me Up" policy is your guarantee that if we missed something, we'll take care of it. Maybe it's a day later; maybe it's a week later. We don't care if it's a month later. Just call us. We will have someone out to take care of it typically within 24 to 48 hours.

We won't make you stand on your head to get fixed!

Anyone can paint, but it's HARD work. It's a LOT of hard work.  High ceiling.  Lots of bending.  Kneeling. Carrying around buckets of paint. Climbing up and down ladders. It's a lot of sore backs and tired arms, too!

The time it takes!  It is always more than you think.  You'll be painting for days, if not weeks, of mornings, nights, and weekends.  And all the while, everything is covered up.  You can't get to anything, even if you could find it. 

And:  How good does it look?  What will it look like when you're done with all your hard work?  Will it have good even coverage, nice tight edges and good clean corners? Did you bump the ceiling?  Are there dribbles in the carpet?  Are you really a professional painter? 

Best intentions aside, most homeowners are not professional painters, and it WILL show when you're done.

Our painters are experienced professionals, we work along about two to three times faster than the average homeowner, and we deliver a GOOD paint job.

The typical interior paint project for most residences takes one of our crews 2-3 days to complete.  That's it. We get in and get to work.  You'll be surprised at how quickly the job proceeds along.
